View individual events in Events

Product Filter HighQ Collaborate
Product Area Filter Events

Clicking on the title of an event from the Events home page will display the full contents of the selected event in view mode:

Within this screen, all details of an event will be displayed, including:

  • Rich Text - Because events are created using a rich text editor, the main content of the blog post can include links, images, tables and similar features
  • Metadata - The metadata shown includes who created the event when it was last edited, any tags applied and the categor(ies) the blog post is associated with
  • Attachments - A list of all attachments to the event (if any). Attachments can be files in the Files module (in which case the permissions applicable to those files will depend on a user's access) or uploaded from the author's computer
  • Actions - The actions may include the ability to make a copy of the event, add the event to the user's calendar, via More actions > Add to calendar:

Print the event, via More actions > Print preview > Print:

Or export the event to PDF (if this feature has been enabled by the site administrator), via More actions > Export to PDF:

  • Add to favourites - The event can also be added to (or removed from) a user's favourites using Add to favourites:

  • Comments & Likes - If a site administrator has enabled comments for the Events module and the author of the event allowed comments to be added, then the Comments section will be displayed. Any user with view rights to the post will be able to add a comment. Existing comments are listed below and it is possible to reply to an existing comment by clicking Reply. (And there can be replies to replies, etc.) Every user is able to edit or delete their own comments and replies. If a comment or reply is deleted, any replies to the deleted comment or reply will also be deleted.

Comments and replies are not included in the PDF version of the page.

In addition, only the original event author or a site or content administrator can edit (or delete) an event, in which case the Edit and Delete options be available in the More actions menu.
