Edit a Contact Express questionnaire

To revise a file created from a Contract Express template, instead of opening the file as a Word document, you can edit the Contract Express questionnaire from the Files module.

Open the file location in the Files module, then select More actions menu for the generated file.

Select Edit questionnaire to open the file metadata in the Contact Express environment.

Revise the answers (variables) as needed.

You can use the arrows to navigate through the questionnaire and update or edit your answers.

The progress bar will always be full at this stage, as the questionnaire has been completed.

As you edit answers, the page list shows the current status of each page:

  • a green tick indicates that a page is complete
  • a grey tick indicates that a page has been opened, but is not yet complete

As of August 2023, the ticks display the current view status of each page as soon as you open the questionnaire. It is no longer necessary to view each page to verify the status.

Click Preview to see a representation of the document before it is generated.

If you change answers to the questions on the left of the window, the preview is updated to show changes.

If you change any item, select Save & Close to apply the changes and generate the document again.

When the document is saved, the Output iSheet changes to match the submitted answers. The Input iSheet does not change.

More than one user can edit the questionnaire at the same time; you are notified of any changes made by other users while you edit the questionnaire.
